My first memory at Rogers was stepping into the office on my first day and meeting my team. Everyone was kind, welcoming, and ready to help, which made me feel at ease. One of my favorite memories at Rogers happened during a team lunch. It wasn’t a work meeting, but just a casual get-together outside the office. Since my childhood, I was always intrigued by the Rogers House building. As I grew older, I started seeing the "Rogers Capital" name in malls and on billboards. I was fascinated by the coverage it had as well as the reputation built. Little did I know that one day I would have the opportunity to work at Rogers Capital surrounded by a lively environment. The highlight for me is that a month after joining Rogers Capital, I was thrilled to participate in my very first event - Plant a Tree! This event was organised with the aim of contributing for a balanced ecosystem. To my surprise, the event took place in my locality, near Telfair Amphitheater. I cannot express the pride I felt when I realised that the Company I work for not only focuses on work and financial gains but also on maintaining a balanced and healthy environment for us and the future generations. As someone said: "Be part of the solution, not part of the pollution."

Starting as an IT Programmer, I transitioned to Sales team as an Ecommerce Administrator and now proudly serve as Head of Revenue & Ecommerce. When I joined the Rogers Group in 2001, I started my journey at GS Informatique Ltd, which was within the group's 'engineering cluster,' as a Sales Engineer. At the time, our office was a rented, two-storey house on Mere Barthelemy Street in Port Louis. All I knew is that I took immense pride in being part of such a renowned group. A year later, I got my first promotion as Customer Service Manager, a significant milestone in my career. With the promotion came a change in scenery; my workspace shifted from the second floor to an office area under the staircase, marking a new chapter in my professional life! We embarked, soon after, on the renowned ERP project, JDEdwards. Within the support department, the transition from manual entries in Excel sheets and the so-called 'Field Service Reports' registers to the new ERP system was a major challenge. This change required adaptability, persistence and a collective effort to embrace new technology. Together with my team, under the guidance of my ex-boss Cyril Chee Kim Ling, someone to whom I will always be deeply grateful, we successfully navigated through these changes. The experience strengthened us and made our process management more efficient. During these years, my personality was shaped and I grew alongside the company. What started as a team of 40 has now flourished into the Rogers Capital Technology family of 160 employees, a transformation I am proud to have been a part of. People often say that time flies and I never truly realise that I have lived 23 years of passion and agility with my colleagues and team members, always striving towards achieving excellence. I am proud and grateful to my colleagues and friends with whom I have shared these invaluable moments and thank you to my leaders for believing in me and always pushing me to reach new heights!

Every journey has its milestones, but my time at Rogers has been much more than a mere path—it has been a vibrant tapestry woven with memories, growth, and meaningful connections that I will treasure forever. After spending five years in South Africa, I joined SOFAP, a subsidiary of Rogers at the time. The blend of excitement and nervous anticipation I felt on my first day was unforgettable. It marked a fresh start filled with opportunities to learn, contribute, and grow. What stood out to me immediately was the warm welcome I received—the genuine smiles, the camaraderie, and the sense of belonging that set the tone for the remarkable journey that followed.
Among my most treasured memories are the collaborations I shared with my colleagues. Whether brainstorming innovative solutions, overcoming challenges as a team, or enjoying a light-hearted laugh during breaks, these moments of connection were invaluable. My coworkers became more than colleagues; they became my second family. Together, we built an environment that nurtured creativity, support, and success. After a decade at SOFAP, I transitioned to Desbro, another subsidiary of Rogers at the time. This shift marked a pivotal moment in my career. A special project I worked on with my colleagues proved to be not only impactful but also a valuable learning experience. It reinforced the importance of teamwork, determination, and perseverance, leaving me with lessons I carry to this day. I eventually transitioned to Rogers Property, where I gained invaluable insights and knowledge. They say, "Work hard, play harder," and my time there truly reflected this philosophy. While I often worked beyond regular hours, the experience extended far beyond professional growth. It was enriched with countless moments of celebration and joy—be it team outings, festive gatherings, or simple acts of kindness among colleagues. These experiences underscored that a workplace isn’t just about deadlines and tasks; it’s about the people and the relationships that make it special. In 2014, I transitioned to the Rogers Corporate Office in the Legal department — a significant shift after spending much of my career in operational roles. This move introduced me to a completely new environment, pushing me to adapt, build resilience, and broaden my horizons. It became a journey of personal and professional growth, enriched by mentors who guided me, colleagues who supported me, and challenges that motivated me to aim for excellence. I still vividly remember the day the corporate office unveiled its new logo under the theme of "Meaningful Change". As the first to arrive at the office that morning, I was truly mesmerised by the transformation. The vibrant new colors—blue and red—marked a striking departure from tradition, the first such change in decades. We were given small gifts to celebrate the occasion, and I felt an immense sense of pride to be part of this momentous milestone. I was also entrusted with the responsibility of stepping in as the executive secretary for Philippe Espitalier-Noël during his assistant’s holidays, a challenging task that truly tested my abilities. Looking back, I can proudly say, "I did it." Looking back, I am filled with immense gratitude—for the opportunities I was given, the challenges that define and refined me, and the incredible people who made every day meaningful. My time at Rogers has been nothing short of extraordinary. It’s a chapter of my life that I will always reflect on with fondness, pride, and a deep sense of fulfillment.

My second home
I had a wonderful experience when I joined Rogers Hospitality (at that time namely "Island Living")! Being part of a united and supportive team, especially with such a strong group of women in the marketing team. I can confirm that team cohesion can greatly impact morale and productivity.
Not every day is a bed of roses, but I continue to grow with each new challenge that comes my way. One eventful day, our team chat was leaked, exposing all our conversations. It was a tough period with our manager, ultimately leading to the team splitting apart. This experience was truly breathtaking and strengthened me, making me more resilient in handling such challenges. As a new chapter began, the team dynamics changed completely, and things were never the same again. Nonetheless, I stayed loyal to the group and can confidently say that I made no wrong decisions. I am truly happy and grateful to be a part of the Rogers family.

The camaraderie and playful mischief I experienced during my first week at ex-EIS were truly remarkable.
Being part of a team of technicians capable of managing different moods and attitudes in an outsourced department was an incredibly rewarding experience. I never imagined it would be so fulfilling or so easy to connect with people of such diverse personalities. Today, I can proudly say that our team is one of the best to work with, and many others envy the dynamic we’ve created with our company.

My first memory of Rogers is my day at Rogers Shipping on 12.09.2012.
A particular memorable moment, was firstly the welcome with much positive vibes to join the group and the willingness to do my level best. I have had the opportunity to work with different teams, new work exposure, the ability to develop a can to attitude, be confident, how to organize oneself, determination, team spirit among others. Being part of Rogers, have allowed me to develop new skills, namely how to deal in public speaking, MC for events. Additionally, the green practice within the group is a vital approach. Aiming is to create meaningful value to enable sustainable business and economic growth. Keep it up, and personally I'm highly motivated to adopt it. Let's be a model' Let's aim to excellence. Back in 1997, fresh out of school, I joined Cargo Express without knowing what to expect. I had no clear idea of where I was headed or what my role within the company would be. The team welcomed me warmly, and it did not take long for me to feel a profound sense of camaraderie and belonging. I was very fortunate to have incredible mentors and colleagues, who generously shared their knowledge and guidance. These few years at Cargo Express were life transformative. This triggered a deep passion within me for the supply chain industry and laid the foundation for my career. I had finally discovered my path; thanks to Cargo Express for my first three years in the professional world.
In January 2020, after many years of exploring different horizons, life brought me full circle, I was back in the Rogers Group, with the amazing Rogers Hospitality Team at Mapou - full of energy, excitement and past experiences. My excitement was however cut short in March 2020 - there came the infamous Covid-19 pandemic. Borders were closed and the hospitality industry came to a standstill. Shortly after, one thing became clear and my fear was gone forever: Rogers Group was built on resilience and forward thinking. New projects and exciting challenges were in the pipeline. Five years later, I look back with immense pride and gratitude on what has been and will be achieved, and how lucky I am to be surrounded by amazing mentors, colleagues and friends. Growing up in the heart of Port Louis, Rogers was a brand I often noticed while passing along John Kennedy Street, leaving a lasting impression from an early age. Later, in 2018, when I joined Velogic in Mer Rouge, I vividly remember visiting the fifth floor on a Friday afternoon to collect my contract—a memorable moment that marked the beginning of my journey with the group.
One particularly memorable experience was witnessing the agility and resilience of our team at Velogic (and Rogers) during the pandemic. The logistics sector faced unprecedented challenges, from disrupted supply chains to rapidly changing regulations, yet our team rose to the occasion with remarkable coordination. Across all locations, colleagues supported one another, adapted swiftly, and found innovative solutions to ensure the continuity of operations, even in the most uncertain times. What stood out most was the unwavering commitment from every level of the organization. Leadership provided clear guidance and support, while teams on the ground worked tirelessly to keep goods moving. This period highlighted not just the operational strength of Velogic but also the sense of unity and shared purpose that defines us. It was a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we come together, even in the face of the most daunting challenges.

Métamorphose
N'étant pas né à Maurice, et venant de temps en temps en touriste, j'ai en mémoire le batîment à Port-Louis qu'on ne peut rater dès lors qu'on visite la capitale. Et par la suite, durant mes années à Business Mauritius, j'ai appris à découvrir le leadership et le caractère visionnaire de Philippe Espitalier-Noël le CEO de Rogers, également le président de la Commission SIG du secteur privé au niveau national, pour une île Maurice durable et inclusive.
Après 18 mois, je dirais qu'il y a encore tout un long parcours pour co-construire et co-vivre des moments mémorables. Néanmoins je peux déjà citer le lancement de CAP26 avec +280 leaders du groupe et un bel échange autour de la trajectoire de soutenabilité. La fête de fin d'année 2023, avec quelques pas de danses, des percussions, jusqu'au parking.

These were my first thoughts when I first considered a career in the hospitality and tourism sector, especially in a beautiful resort situated in the North of Mauritius - Veranda Grand Baie. I remember walking into the gorgeous lobby of a world-class hotel and wondering what it would be like to actually work there — great atmosphere, great perks!

To be honest, I didn't know what Rogers was before joining. Having just graduated in 1993, I would have taken any opportunity to start earning money as I just wanted to, at last, stop relying on my parents. At 24 it was about time. Thus, it was my first job which I started about a month after landing in Mauritius.
I was not really thinking of making a career at Rogers. Therefore, to be still in the group after 31 years is, in itself, a testament to how loyalty has served me well. To me, Rogers has been a ‘’land’’ of opportunities; a place to grow as a person, learn, and expand my network-not only within the group but also in the wider community. In fact, it is easy for me to say that Rogers has been the main influence in shaping the person I am today. Starting as a trainee, I was given opportunities to climb the career ladder by taking on challenges which I grasped with both hands whenever I had the chance. As a diversified group, Rogers has allowed me to learn about various business activities- quite a rare opportunity to find within one company.
Three big challenges that come to my mind include my posting in Madagascar right in the middle of the political crisis of 2002 and the blockade of Antananarivo, the turnaround of EIS (now RCTL) and ensuring the continuity of Velogic logistics services during COVID, when the country was ‘’locked down’’.
Last but not least, none of this would have been possible without the great colleagues I was/am fortunate to work with at Rogers and the trust of my bosses. In short, my adventure with Rogers has been one of opportunities and amazing people.

I started my career in Rogers group at Heritage Golf Club on 1st August 2016 as bartender. Everything was new to me as it was the first time working in hospitality. There I got great opportunites to develop myself, to learn a lot concerning preparation on cocktail, drinks, and above all sharing great moments working for big competitions like ABMO and others. I was very dedicated to my work and perfom duty with keen interest to the best of my ability. I got the chance to meet with many villa owners and personalities for competitions and events. Cooporate team work was among my best qualities. After covid 19, I was being transfered to Awali hotel where I continued as barman for nearly one year.
In december 2021, I got the offer to work in maintenance department as coordinator, as previously before joining Rogers group I was working in a water engineering company where I earn lots of knowledge of maintenance and water management/water treatment. My duty as coordinator is to manage utilities (water/electricity/gas/diesel), follow up of work, records, and water management. I entertain very good relationship with my collegues in my department as well as other departments,managers and others also. I work to the entire satisfaction of the management.

I started to work for Veranda Palmar Beach Hotel on 26th October 1998, as Mini club attendant, at an early age of 19 years old. It was hard to adapt for my first 3 months to work in the hotel industry, but gradually I found it fun to interact with other people from different countries. I’ve been promoted to Guest Relation Officer and then to Front Office Supervisor.
I’ve also met my husband at the hotel, he was from the Food and Beverages Department and then he decided to take other challenges. I worked in the Front Office Department for 13 years and decided to move to the housekeeping department for a new experience and indeed it was very different compared to the task from Front Office. There has been a lot of new challenges, but with a positive mind, I’m still here, where I belong to and very happy to be part of this family of Rogers Hospitality for 26 years of service.

Since my childhood, whenever I visited Port Louis and passed by the Rogers building I understood that it was a great company with smart and talented people working there.Finally, after having worked for the company/Group for 20 years, I was selected to participate in a management development program (MDP). At the end of this course, we were invited to meet the CEO at the Rogers house. From the parking lot to the top floor, I was warmly welcomed by the staff, managers, and the CEO. It was both a pleasure and an honour to be on the top floor, meet the senior management team, and admire the breathtaking view from that level.

My first memory of Rogers is actually of Rogers House in 1998 when I interned at the US embassy. It was also my first grasp of the buzzing business life in Port-Louis! More seriously, when I started my Mauritian career in CSR, Rogers was the company I was looking up to, for the audacity and pioneering spirit it showed towards inclusion and environmental issues. I am so glad to be part of this thrust today!

My first memory of Rogers, was the importance of the brand name in my early childhood, it was the reference company to work for at the time and still is.
I am very proud to have had the opportunity to put Velogic on the map of Project Cargo in the region and we kicked off with a logistic contract of a CEB Power Station extension which included the transport of the heaviest cargo being transported in Mauritius on our public road amongst other cargo.

When I was a child, we always insisted on buying products which were sold by Rogers as our family was involved in the shareholding of the group a long time back. Rogers was part of our family DNA
The relationship between the major shareholders of Rogers as they evolved over the years has been a very enriching experience and decisions were taken several times over the years that streamlined the ownership of the group. Rogers was eventually split into two parts at the initiative of its two family controlled shareholders and Rogers has been a subsidiary of ENL for more than 10 years. ENL and Rogers are now studying the possibility of merging the two entitities. This augurs well for the future

As I reflect on the past 26 years at Rogers, it feels like a mosaic of memories. I joined Rogers as a young girl full of dreams and aspirations and this workplace became my second family. I grew up from a naïve newcomer into a confident employee while also embracing the joys of becoming a spouse and mother. Rogers was there for me during every significant life event supporting me through my maternity leaves and tough times. My colleagues in the Legal and Secretariat Department became my friends and together we shared joy, sorrow, laughter, challenges, passion for our work and a genuine care for one another. The lessons learned and the relationships forged at the Rogers Corporate Office will always hold a special place in my heart. While I may be stepping into the unknown, I carry out with me the hard work and values instilled by Aruna, Ambrish and Sharon. I know that the experiences from this incredible journey at Rogers will guide me in all my future endeavours.

I clearly remember my first day coming in for an interview at Rogers House. It was December, and Port-Louis was buzzing with holiday activities. But up on the fifth floor, it was so quiet - everyone was out, getting ready for the office party later. After my interview, as I walked through the empty, impressive office, I couldn’t help but think how great it would be to work there. It’s amazing to think back to that day and see how everything has unfolded since then.
One of my most cherished experiences at Rogers Group has been leading the communication of the 'Bouze Zenes' initiative, which has transformed lives in Bel Ombre by empowering our youth. Equally meaningful is my role in the Diversity and Inclusion committee, which we affectionately named 'Comité du Grenier', where we were dedicated to advancing diversity and inclusion within the Group. These roles have allowed me to not only witness but also be part of the meaningful change - fostering a culture of inclusivity and opportunity that resonates deeply with my own values. Mon arrivée à Velogic Madagascar.
Bonjour, c’est avec un immense plaisir et un grand honneur pour moi de vous partager mes meilleurs souvenirs pendant mes 23 années de service au sein de Rogers Madagascar pour la célébration du 125ème anniversaire de Rogers. Le 29 janvier 2001 était une date inoubliable car c’est à cette date que j’ai intégré Rogers IDS Madagascar en tant que standardiste – réceptionniste sous la direction de M. David Ware. J’ai beaucoup apprécié mon travail, et au fil du temps, tout en donnant le meilleur de moi-même, j’ai été promue au poste de Secrétaire Administrative deux ans après, où Rogers Madagascar était dirigé par M. André Baya. J’occupe ce poste jusqu’à ce jour en voyant se succéder à la direction M. Jean Moutton et M. Tony Yue Chi Ming.
Mes meilleurs souvenirs, parmi tant d’autres, sont l’organisation des événements de la société avec un comité composé d’un représentant de chaque département ainsi que la distribution de jouets aux enfants des employés à chaque Noël (mes deux petits bouts de choux avaient respectivement 4 ans (Jonathan) et 4 mois et demi (Jessica) à l’époque. Il y a également l’organisation des journées récréatives et les Fêtes de Nouvel An.
Le 28 janvier 2012 était aussi une date mémorable pour moi ; 10 ans de bons et loyaux services au sein de Rogers IDS, couronnés par une Médaille de Bronze, remise par le représentant de Madame la Ministre du Travail à l’époque et avec les chaleureuses félicitations des deux dirigeants de la sociétés cités en haut.
J’espère bien que le tableau commémoratif que je vous envoie avec tout cœur, et qui raconte une partie de mon histoire au sein de Rogers vous fera plaisir et je souhaite un très Joyeux Anniversaire à notre société.

Cela fera bientôt 35 ans que j’ai eu l’immense privilège d’intégrer Rogers. Je suis profondément reconnaissant pour le parcours que nous avons partagé ensemble. Ces années ont été l’occasion de grandir, non seulement en tant que professionnel, mais aussi en tant qu’individu. Le tournant de ma carrière a eu lieu il y a 30 ans, lorsque l’on m’a proposé de travailler avec M. George Coombes. J’ai également eu le privilège d’assister à l’évolution de Rogers, de contribuer à ses succès et de collaborer avec des collègues formidables ainsi qu’avec des mentors d’exception tels que M. Batfield et M. Taylor, parmi tant d’autres. L’un de mes souvenirs les plus marquants reste celui où feu M. Dereck Taylor et moi marchions dans les sous-sols du bureau, chaussés de bottes et gantés. Nous avions l’impression de nous aventurer dans un marécage.

As a child, I accompanied my mother in Port-Louis at Rogers House to buy air tickets at Air France. I was very much impressed by the prestige surrounding the Rogers and Air France brands as well as the building itself in the bustling capital.
One of the most memorable moments during my time at Rogers has to be our rebranding journey in 2022. Rebranding a company with such a rich history and legacy, one that has been a cornerstone in Mauritius for over a century, was no small task. Rogers is not just a name; it’s an institution. Balancing respect for our past while looking boldly towards the future was an inspiring challenge!
To see the culmination of this work—a fresh identity that still honours where we come from—was truly special. I am especially proud of how the rebranding brought our purpose to life and our promise to be a positive force for change, for 'Meaningful Change'. It was a moment where I felt the pride, commitment, and passion of everyone around me, and it reminded me of why I love what I do.
As we celebrated Rogers’ 125th anniversary, I also had the unique privilege of diving even deeper into the incredible story of this institution. Through the communication campaign, I had the chance to collect moving testimonials from colleagues who have been part of shaping Rogers’ journey. Their stories were personal, heartfelt, and often humbling, reminding me just how connected Rogers is to the very fabric of our nation.
I also had the opportunity to interview current Mauritian leaders and learn more about those who came before us, the past leaders who steered Rogers through decades of change. I realised they all shared something common that deeply inspired me—they weren’t just serving a company, they were serving the country.
This immersion in the group's history through these human stories has deepened my appreciation for Rogers’ role in Mauritius, not just as a business but as a force that has always been tied to the progress and wellbeing of the country and its people. It’s an honour to be part of this ongoing story.
My journey with Rogers began in 2019 as a Board member of Rogers Capital. This role gave me a clear vision of the Group’s ability to create opportunities that go beyond business and positively impact lives. Experiencing how Rogers’ values: Agility, Engagement, and Excellence, are woven in its culture gave me a deeper understanding of how this Mauritian Group creates meaningful change across industries.
When I first joined Ascencia in 2020 as an Asset Manager, I discovered the heart of the company: its people. Their entrepreneurial mindset, creativity, and resilience became particularly evident during the pandemic, one of the most challenging periods in recent history. Even while the malls were closed, the team worked tirelessly to support tenants and safeguard customers.
Initiatives like the tenant relief plan, the Safe Shopping campaign, and B’Local at 42 Market Street, a space for empowering small businesses at Bagatelle Mall, brought hope and opportunity when it was needed most.
These moments were a reminder of what Rogers stands for: supporting communities and bringing people together. They strengthened my belief in Ascencia’s mission and inspired me to take on the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in January 2024.
Today, Ascencia is more than just a portfolio of shopping malls; it’s about creating unique spaces where people come together to share memorable moments.
We are also concerned about our carbon footprint and aim in mitigating our impact on the environment by implementing various actions such as the use of renewable energy, the sorting of our waste whilst partnering with our tenants to shape a more inclusive and sustainable future.
As Rogers celebrates 125 years of vision and transformation, I am proud to lead Ascencia in carrying this legacy forward. Together, we aim to create spaces that enrich lives, strengthen communities, and ensure that the human stories behind our successes continue to inspire for generations to come.

Joining this team back in 2010 was an honour. I remember my college days where we used to talk a lot about Rogers Group, and when I got the opportunity to join just some days after my final exams, i did so with no second thought.
My journey: 1) Starting as a Store Attendant to achieving my life's goal within the group. 2) Getting the opportunity to serve as a Brand Ambassador for Heritage Resorts for two mandates and being nominated in the Top 3 for the Best Ambassador Award (Excellence Award 2018).

When I first worked for Rogers as a deck officer on the company's cargo vessels when I was 18 years old, 48 years ago !
When our team managed to clear and deliver vaccins and medical goods during the Covid period and recently when we managed to be the logistic partner for the launching of Amazon shipments in Reunion island which brings a good boost to our bottom line figures.
I started my journey with the company when I was just 20 years old, working on various sites around the island. It was my first real job, and I gave it my all.
Two years later, my hard work was recognised, and I was promoted to Forklift Driver—a step that made me feel proud and motivated to keep growing. At 30, the company secured a big contract with the Marine Ports Authority (MPA) for container deliveries, operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for about 1½ years. It was a challenging period, working long shifts, but it paid off.
The extra income allowed me to complete the construction of my house, a goal I had been working toward for years. Over time, I had the opportunity to work on many different projects, including assignments at suites all over the island. These experiences broadened my horizons and made me more versatile in my work. Outside of my regular duties, I found another passion—football. Today, I proudly serve as the trainer of the Velogic Football Team.
Under my guidance, we achieved a significant milestone, winning second place in the 1st Division—a moment of great pride for me and the team. Now, at 60 years old, I look back on my journey with gratitude. I’ve grown alongside the company, achieved personal milestones, and built lasting relationships.
As I continue working until retirement, I feel a sense of fulfilment knowing how far I’ve come and the legacy I’ll leave behind.

I was just 16 years old when I joined the company as a cleaner for bulk sugar containers. It was my first step into the working world, and I could never have imagined then how much this company would shape my life. At 24, I was given an incredible opportunity. The company supported me in obtaining my driving license and later encouraged me to follow a course at IVTB to earn my forklift license. These qualifications opened doors for me, allowing me to take on new responsibilities and grow professionally.
The company didn’t just help me in my career—they also supported me in my personal life. They granted me an advance on my pay, which allowed me to place a deposit for the purchase of my house. Later, they extended the same generosity when I was preparing for my wedding. These moments stand out as examples of how much the company has cared for its employees.
Today, at 56 years old, I feel nothing but gratitude. The opportunities and support I’ve received over the years have changed my life for the better. As I continue working, I look forward to staying with the company until my retirement, proud to be part of this incredible journey.
I’ll never forget the day I joined the company—Monday, the 15th of December 1980.
It’s a date etched in my memory not just because it was the start of my career, but because of how it all began. That weekend, I went to a party, like most young men my age, enjoying life without a care in the world. I got back home early Monday morning, completely unaware of the storm waiting for me. My mother was waiting, furious. She reminded me I had to start work that very day, and she wasn’t wrong jobs were hard to come by in those days. Without wasting a second, I scrambled to get ready. When I arrived late at the Albion Dock in Port Louis, I nervously made an excuse, telling them I had missed my way. Thankfully, I was allowed to start, and that moment marked the beginning of a journey that has lasted 44 years.
Today, at 65 years old, I look back with immense pride. Serving the company for more than four decades has been a privilege. That first day may not have started perfectly, but it shaped the hardworking, dedicated person I am today.

Je suis Shyama Ramdoss et j’ai 38 ans de service. J’ai intégré Rogers Air Cargo en 1986 en tant que Debtors clerk. Au fil de ma carrière chez Rogers Air Cargo j’ai gravi les échelons dans la comptabilité jusqu’au grade de Superviseur avant de rejoindre les RH en tant que Administrative Assistant en 2004 suite à la fusion de Rogers Air cargo et Cargo Express.
Au niveau de la comptabilité j’ai eu des formations plus techniques et aussi le supervisory skills. Dans les RH, je suis plus concernée par le payroll. Avec ma forte expérience en comptabilité, je maitrise vite mes nouvelles fonctions. Avec l’acquisition d’autres sociétés, mes responsabilités augmentent. Je suis promue HR & Payroll Coordinator en 2015. En 2016 je suis choisie pour le Management Development Program. Ensuite je suis nommée Assistant Manager – HR & Payroll en 2018 et Manager – Payroll & Administration en 2022.
Au fil du temps, ma vie personnelle a aussi évolué. J’étais célibataire au début de ma carrière chez Rogers Air Cargo. Je me suis mariée en Décembre 1986 et de cette union sont nées trois adorables filles dont je suis très fière. Aujourd’hui elles occupent des postes clés et deux sont déjà mariées. Je suis aussi grand-mère de deux petites filles très mignonnes. Velogic a fait de moi une personne très agile et résiliente. Ainsi je peux dire que j’aborde les incertitudes et aussi les changements avec un regard très positif.
Car tant qu’il y a la vie, il y a l’espoir.

Je suis Annick Peroumal du département Indoor Sales & Follow up et j’ai 37 années de Service dans la compagnie.
J’ai débuté ma carrière en 1987 comme Telex Operator à Rogers Air Cargo et après 3 ans (en 1990) on a créé le département maritime (Pats Seafreight) et j’ai eu la chance de me joindre à l’équipe. On avait beaucoup d ‘exportation de textiles et on n'avait pas d'ordinateur et laptop comme maintenant. La documentation se faisait manuellement. C'était vraiment une autre époque. Lorsqu’on a délocalisé le bureau à Riche Terre, je me suis retrouvée à m’occuper du Secrétariat / Admin pour le bureau et le warehouse pendant 7 ans (Pats Seafreight / Logistics World et Maxi Cargo).
Vers les années 2000 on a commencé à avoir les changements Maxi cargo est devenu R & C Logistics et en 2002 le bureau a bougé à Port Louis. En 2002 il y a eu aussi la création du département de “Coffret des Iles” à Plaisance qui s’occupait des envois des coffrets cadeaux vers l’étranger et en 2003 j’ai rejoint ce département. Malheureusement après une année le concept n’a pas vraiment marché et nous avons fermé le département. En même temps il y avait la fusion de Rogers Cargo et Cargo Express et je me suis retrouvée au département Indoor sales depuis 2004 à ce jour.
Je suis passionnée dans mon travail et aime être toujours à l'écoute de mes clients en étant proche d'eux et les aider. Dans ce métier, il faut aussi avoir de la patience et une bonne communication que ce soit interne ou externe. Pendant ma carrière - J’ai eu l ’occasion de travailler avec plusieurs chefs et j’ai beaucoup appris avec eux. Les cours que j'ai eu m'ont aidé à grandir et m'améliorer dans mon travail. De même que les business trips ont été une bonne expérience pour moi. L'autre souvenir est en 2007 lorsque j'ai remporté "The Best Employee Award" et sans oublier notre équipe du Indoor Sales & Follow up ou règne vraiment un esprit d'équipe et je peux dire nous sommes vraiment une famille.
Pour conclure je dis un grand merci au management et je suis fière de travailler pour Velogic.

Mon souvenir marquant reste mon arrivée au sein du groupe. Un groupe qui représente pour moi l'aboutissement d'un projet de longue date ainsi que la fierté d'appartenir à un si important conglomérat, qui plus est connu internationalement.
Mon rêve, depuis plusieurs années, était de venir vivre et travailler à l’île Maurice. Grâce au Groupe Rogers, j’ai la possibilité de m’y établir et grandir tant professionnellement que personnellement. Mieux encore, je travaille activement pour faire rayonner l’art de vivre sous les tropiques de Heritage Villas Valriche et du beau domaine de Bel Ombre.
